BODA HORAK

In 1980, he completed his studies of architecture and interior design at the College of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague.

In 1987, he was one of the co-founders of the legendary group of designers “ATIKA” that soon joined the European post-modernist mainstream of the 1980s.

Since 1993, he’s been intensely cooperating with the German company Anthologie Quartett and has been creating for them a successful line of designer products that have been helping to define the company’s distinctive style.

In 2012, he started a new project and began to design and develop, together with the sculptor and glass designer Vladimíra Klumpar, a new line of lighting objects under the brand name M.O.M (my object muses). In this year, he began his collaboration with glass-making companies Rückl Crystal a.s, BOMMA, PRAGER KUNSTSALON and since 2013 with KREHKY gallery, PRAGUE KABINET and TIME ART AVANTGARDESIGN in Germany. In 2014 he start cooperate with company MOSER.

Boda Horak has been participating in prestigious one-artist and also collective exhibitions in renowned galleries – Binnen in Amsterdam, Jannone in Milano , Dadriade in Rome,Ferrero 1947 Turin, the Moss Gallery in New York, the Limn Gallery in San Francisco,UNICA Las Vegas etc. His works are auctioned in fine art auction houses such as Christie’s in New York. His works are regularly published in his home country and abroad in many art magazines and art books and are also exhibited in museums and private collections.
